Well that's disappointing.

This idea that guro is a fantasy is typical cop-out for people who have internal moral conflict. People who claim it to be fantasy are usually ashamed of their interests and fiercely blindly attack their own interest in the real life. Same as those closeted gays being the most extreme gay haters. I am in general against any punishments. Punishment is nothing else than plain torture/revenge.

I don't think guro is attractive in the same as public beheadings in medieval ages, at that time was the only kind of entertainment that people had what else will your watch when your life is so boring that you woud probably woud not mind be be burned on that stake yourself :)

Hello, aside from being a "community member' here, I'm also a guro artist.

I'm not a member of true crime communities, but I do watch true crime. I watch it because reliving other peoplse murder experiences is a thrill, and I find it hot. I know when I'm watching it that I'm getting something different out of it than the normal community. Sometimes I feel I'm being called a monster. I have no interest in school killers, I think it's a waste of life to kill in anger. I think it's a waste of life to kill in lust too, but that's something I can understand-- I cannot understand killing someone out of anger at all. For most people, I think the opposite is true.

Ofcourse guro fantasies are fantasies. There are fetishes like fucking someones brain, but to do that in real life... It would probably be so soft it wouldn't feel like moving through anything. Guro is a cartoon appropriation of death, where the rules only work by the artists best understanding of death. Even when the guro is accurate, or when someone looks at real gore, the i mportant thing is that there are no consequences to viewing it. For me, guro is a genre of self exploration, a stage where I can play with death and grief, but it's all acting.

Guro as a primal memory? I think my interest in it has more to due with my personal life and upbringing than any ancestral heritage.

I hope your studies go well, learn something about us. Psychology and therapy in this area could be useful, a lot of people here feel in pain because they think they're different, impossible to understand. I think OP might be referring to guro of asian origin, Onix. I like fairytales and looney tunes as much as you do, but most people on gurochan don't fap to that stuff. I'm interested in the prime era of eroguro nansensu myself, but I don't think it was popularized by religion; guro has more to do with the people of the time having to live through the bombings of their country, and poor living conditions as a result, leading to those same people growing up and venting their feelings with violent poetry/visual art, making the more bizarre, grotesque, guro art form popular.
