    3DCG images which clearly depict underage characters have been causing some stir within the userbase recently, and some artists refuse to visit/post on gurochan due to the prevelance of these threads.

    There has been some debate about banning such content, but, we saw it best to ask the userbase first.

    In that case what is the point to post things on non loli board at all? If it has less traffic and more limitations?

    The whole idea is mixing both things together and not differentiating between loli and non loli stuff at all.

    I think current loli and /lg/ boards here are absolutely useless create confusion and reduces traffic.
    It would be much better to post everything on he single board and this content filter could be later used to separate things into different categories.

    Some people just hate that idea regardless of how it is presented.

    3dcg is of course most extreme of them all, but it is not special in any way a and it is not that different from 2d or text content in how it is perceived. It is not like 3dcg can be at least remotely realistic anyway.

    Can we return the character limits in Lit and RP to what they were on the old Gurochan, as posts in those boards are bound to be more text-heavy? Currently, anyone posting stories of any decent length needs to split it up, or post it on another site and link to it.

I personally hate that fucker for banning all the good shit on the old site to appeal to the hoster, but I miss a lot of the old crew.     The news are a few months old by now, but Gurochan was firmly dead when this broke out in January, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    **For those out of the loop:** Multiple screenshots of DMs, as well as verbal allegations, allege that **Armie Hammer** (the Hollywood actor) was:

    – cheating on his wife with multiple escort girls and other random booty-posting "models"
    – sexting with them right from his "main" @armiehammer social pages, primarily Instagram
    – was into themes like: cannibalism in various forms, consensual non-consent (pretend rape), cutting, drinking blood, torture and general violence, slave/ownership play, general dom/sub manifesting as "Daddy/kitten", and other related themes
    – discussing the fantasies about the above themes in very exlicit detail in his sexting with those girls
    – making (some of) them come true when he met up with them IRL – mostly knife play, blood play, choking, biting, rape roleplay, etc
    – supposedly repeatedly crossed the line of consent, forcing girls to do something they initially refused to
    – doing misc forms of what broadly counts as psychological manipulation and gaslighting, like acting aloof and forcing dependency on him, promising each girl that she was "special", and whatnot

    It is not surprising for me as many of creative and rich people are big perverts.
    Although it is strange that he was so careless and got exposed.
    If he decided to visit gurochan he would have found the only girl in the world who is fantasizing to be cut in half and probably who is not going to expose him LOL and probably still single :)

    Although all that evidence you mentioned is just laughable. Any kid it very basic computer knowledge could do that in less than a day. no photoshoping is even required as that would be the hardest way.
    another strange thing is that all of that was received so badly anyway because nothing he did is in any way or form illegal if those girls were not underage.

    I loved the button on the old gurochan that automatically expanded all images. Was really useful on mobile so it didn't yank your view around every time you clicked on an image. Is there any way we can have that back? Or was that something unique to the previous website?

    Why? The main reason why I like imageboards is the anonimity and being able to just shit out your opinion based on the logic of your arguments, or if available evidence as well. This upboats system feels to me like it's going to just make people base their arguments and opinions on the hivemind, instead of what they actually feel about the topic at hand. You may say the following;

    You may not know who voted or not, but a VISIBLE identity around these upboats will form. People will start changing their posting habits to get these upboats or risk being sagebombed or have their thread ignored. Having a visible marker, or gauge of the "community's stance" on a topic just seems antithetical to the concept of being able to post anonymously to me. Those are just my 2cents.

    Hello again, a few things I have to request.

    Firtsly, please review and potentially delete a few of the post made under certain threads. There are a few post to which some people lack the fantasy aspect of particular rules. Even though some people can interpret what they're saying, others *Snowflakes Cough Cough* might misinterpret them (purposefully). Dont want to deal with that and people getting the wrong idea of people on this site (I do catch the irony). A good example of some post would actually be in discussion.

    Secondly, (after handling the comments) I would suggest going to reddit and posting about Gurochan's revival. I would also suggest reaching out the the artists on pixiv and tumblr (if they still exist there) in they're contact and messaging them about Gurochan's return. A post a week on reddit and in steam should reattract enough attention. I believe we are lacking in 3DCG and Art because of lack of awareness. We usually get more content and even though I'm liking the volume of content here now, we could use alot more and every single day.

    Keep me posted, I'll try to maybe contact some artist on my end aswell.

    Hi, I noticed that there's a neat feature to search on the archived boards for text strings but the search will fail if it brings back more than a certain number of hits (I think 60 something). Is there a plan to increase the bandwidth of these searches or is there a clever way to get around this limit?

    By unclickable I mean the title when I go to a particular forum. If I go to G for instance and scroll down and try to click a thread under the thread overview. I won't be able to click the titles to open the thread and have to click reply to access them (I figured this out from last time but new visitors may not know how to navigate).

    I think the catalog function may need to go or be explained (but primarily let go for the roladex/recently updated). Just recently saw it though and even though it is nice the additional step people may not know (disregard if it is being replaced).

    Nice to hear about the bug, however some threads still have corrupted images which may need to be removed from some threads.

If you want, I can do it again, but I think you might want to contact some of vets yourself, especially about old archives. One of them may have the old (holy grail) servers.     I think it's like that in most imageboards. We put a text that would help noticing, "Click Reply to view". But in the thread list you need to click on thread numbers, maybe we can change it so you can open threads just by clicking their title.

    Both those are showing threads by creation date, but a feature for showing recently updated threads would be useful. We will add it as soon as it gets developed. The software is homemade(not a ready software like vichan or tinyIB), so please give the devs some time.

    Right, we are still working on it. I am also hesitant to restore threads with missing thumbnails, I just recreate them if they aren't very large so the thumbnail would show up in catalog. This is worth a dedicated discussion thread later.

    We already made some posts about gurochan's return on reddit, but they weren't pinned. Also the site is under a new administration now, though there are some older mods from previous iterations. We don't have much contact where to find old users, so some help would be nice.

    One way to contact old users would be to run a script on the archive and extract email addresses from users that provided them.
    I think this would likely connect with a few of the old users.

    While I'm here, would it be possible to fix the very limited character limit in /lit/ ? You did fix this before the migration, but since then it seems to have reverted to about 5000 characters.

    Well, I did post a chapter that was 52496 characters once. I don't intend to post anything that long again, but I guess something like 60000 characters would be comfortable for me so I don't have to think about it, or get surprised. That's about 10000 words, or about 20 pages in a typical novel.
