You have a dial from 0 to 100. Once pushed, it cannot be used again. You can:

-Leave without pushing it, leaving it for potentially someone else.

-Push it at zero, saving humanity from it ever being used.

    -End all human life.

    -Purge a percantage of humanity.

I doubt it's only a handful of people.

    1. My entire country murdered hundreds of thousands, (maybe millions for all we really know) of Iraqis. Those lives were not a concern.

    2. We sold to Japans's enemies, so they bombed a military target. That justifies nuking 2 cities and firebombing counrless villages before that. But we'll bomb babies if their dads maybe sold to someone we don't like. And we pretend we're a shining city as we compare ourselves to slums we bombed.

Ah OK. Fair enough. Like a very mild deathnote then.

Don't really have much to say on the "US military crimes" thing, other than to note that *that* is also most likely down to a relatively small number of people, especially in terms of total global population... (certainly not defending it)

When I said "fucking it up", I didn't mean general everyday low level mistakes, occasional absentminded thoughtlessness, or fuckups through panicked attempts to deal with already fucked situations... more the institutional, malicious, greed driven, wilfully ignorant and hateful (etc etc) type crimes against humanity (as a concept) that make the victims' lives either a misery or unnaturally short and bring us all down as a species. The consummate cockends that we can all do without, and there isn't even a good "it's a dirty job that someone needs to do" argument for their existence or behaviour.

Once a year I watch the three Matrix discs back-to-back. I'm actually a fan of all three films.

Quentin Tarantino: I have seen all of his films (at least Reservoir Dogs through The Hateful Eight). Right now Kill Bill: Vol. 3 is stalled at "characters"; and Untitled Manson Family Project is a screenplay up for pre-production between now and 2019. So much for his announcing retirement a few years back lol. Nice.

Amazingly, Miyazaki has once again come out of retirement for a new anime. Yus!:

"On August 3, 2014, Toshio Suzuki announced that Studio Ghibli would take a "brief pause" to re-evaluate and restructure in the wake of Miyazaki's retirement. He stated some concerns about where the company would go in the future. This has led to speculation that Studio Ghibli will never produce another feature film again. On November 7, 2014, Miyazaki stated, "That was not my intention, though. All I did was announce that I would be retiring and not making any more features." Lead producer Yoshiaki Nishimura (The Secret World of Arietty; and When Marnie was There) among several other staffers from Ghibli left to found Studio Ponoc in April 2015, working on the film Mary and the Witch's Flower".

Enclaved said a few weeks ago that he'd be interested in implementing tags for literature stories, maybe even RP (that's a speculation on my behalf). I think that's a good idea, personally. He asked us to compile a list of tags, not TOO specific, but at least the basics so that the system can be tested out.

I have no idea how he plans to implement it, but I would suggest the tags to be for each individual post, rather than thread. Perhaps if the base tags are well enough curated, there could be another field added when posting in lit. The actual tagging I suppose would work best if it's left to the author. BUT there are already a lot of threads and fuck if I know how tagging each of those would work.

That being said, I should probably start the tags list:

1.By number of participant, sex and domination/submissiveness. (two lower or capital letters would mean consensual)

    http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/stories/code_explain.php

But now I agree that your way is better and should be used here.
    >>
Unless you're OK with a separate post form field for tags, you gotta decide on in-subject format: [tag, ...] or (tag, ...) or [tag][tag]... or whatever. But I would rather have a separate field with tags delimited by commas.
    >>
    >>5783

If it is possible the best way would be to add an additional field where anyone can do editing and add tags.

When the story progresses it usually gets new content, so there must be an easy way to change tags as well.
    >>
    >>5784

I think editing of tags could be feasible by using passwords. You can edit a post's tags if you have the password, same as deleting the post.

IMO the best way to add tags would be on each new post.

    >>5783

Yes. A tag subfield would be best. It could pop up upon pressing another button so it doesn't 'clutter' the interface for everyone who browses /lit/

A popup won't work, we need to support users without JavaScript, remember. I suppose adding a single input field above the post message in the form won't make it any more cluttered, and for viewers the entire form is hidden by default anyway.

    >While I believe that cats are not that far behind humans in abstract thinking abilities, but what matters is that cats to not have any reasons to think about that kind of questions as they lack the certain functions of the brain entirely.

I believe they're pretty far behind on that, lacking a neocortex and all... but I do believe that they (and many other animals) have a sort of physics simulation 'engine' that enables them to to predict the motion of a falling object for example. This also *probably* allows them to understand cause and effect to e certain degree, though due to their inferior abstraction and inference capabilities they can't really do it on human level.

    >Animals do not have fantasies and they just do not even think about "what if" scenarios they do not create virtual worlds like humans.

Most probably you are right about this - they can probably run simple heuristic simulations so that they can hunt effectively or perceive danger and get out of its way.

    >what is interesting that cats often ask for help some events I know are that cat came asking to remove fishbone stuck in his throat and other time cat brought her dead kittens probably asking to revive them or something.
so they definitely see humans as very capable companions but they do not trust anyone that much and will not rely on you unless there is no other choice.

I woud not think that cats can have concept of god
even if we are much bigger and far more capable, cats will bravely fight us to defend their interests or totally ignore us in situations when we pose them danger, so they obviously treat us as equals.

    >>they can't really do it on human level

    >>
They essentially see you as the head of their "clan" or "nest"... particularly with the frequency with which you find and share food with them, and regularly show dominance.

As for the rest of it, probably not. Like a lot of other predatory animals, when not looking for something to eat, fuck or fight, they just sleep, or engage in basic social bonding behaviour. They don't think particularly deep thoughts, and don't sit around entertaining them. There's probably some kind of measurable consciousness there, maybe some flavour of rudimentary thought rather than just instinct, muscle memory and some basic information processing to tie it all together, but there's an awful lot of evolution between where they are and anything that could really class as language, abstract cognition, culture, etc. Including any kind of god-worship or trying to work out how you do the things you do, beyond simple imitation (which is the same as mama cat teaching kittens to hunt...). Crows, maybe even rats and some parrots are almost certainly smarter, in the terms you mean. A cat's head may seem larger than theirs but the portion of it given over to the braincase is actually kinda small.

It's somewhat similar for dogs too, though of course their heads vary in size quite a bit, and their apparent intelligence and countenance covers a wide range. But the main difference in their behaviour vs cats is really down to their being domesticated from a pack-oriented, coordinated pursuit and team-hunt ancestor, with a distinct social hierarchy that is rarely open to challenge other than if the existing alpha dies of natural causes or misadventure, and a need to do some basic problem solving in coming up with new team strategies on the fly if the old way no longer works. Vs a clan/pride oriented ancestor that normally hunted solo, relying on stalking then pouncing, or chasing down startled prey over a relatively short distance, and with group leadership being a fairly ephemeral and sometimes frequently changing thing, with battles for dominance and sorting out the pecking order being a common thing, which is why otherwise docile cats can sometimes become a bit hostile... And they're also, strangely, more promiscuous; typically only alphas get breeding rights in canine groups, and any action betas/omegas/etc of either sex get has to be done on the sly... and you'd better hope the alpha couple are in a good mood, maybe already looking after their own pups, when your litter arrives. Felines nominally have a dominant breeding pair, or male with harem, but particularly the smaller ones are a little less over protective of their genetic monopoly, not needing anything like the same range or absolute exclusive hunting rights within it as their big savannah and jungle roaming cousins, so they're happier to just fuck like crazy and then, at least in more naturally formed clans, raise the kittens in a fairly communal, laissez-faire, one-big-family manner, even if there's not actually that much in the way of shared genes.

Cognition-wise, they're relatively similar. For one thing, they're very bad at object permanence and noticing the passage of time... somewhat like a human infant at about one year old... as well as situational vs procedural memory. All things that are somewhat necessary for any kind of theory of mind, musing on the future, hypothesising over matters that are immediately beyond their ken. It's probably also why they're easy to train with pavlovian or operant conditioning. For example dogs most likely don't actively remember "playing up = being yelled at, being nice = treat"... it's just something that becomes embedded in the unconscious procedural memory. The "good" and "bad" things become known, but they have no concept of *why*. It's almost like growing additional instincts.

    Cats have a neocortex.

My biggest fantasies is digging up dead girls and then violating their corpse. Or getting into a mausoleum, open the tomb, then enjoying the contents within. I prefer dead girls wearing burial dresses in coffins or similar containers. I also think of corpse pussy as wine; The older they are, the better. So, what do you think, everybody?
p.s. White burial kimonos is the best!

Well, in my grave robbing fantasies, the dead girl would have to be fresh and intact in order for her to be appealing to me. Also, I fantasize about a dead girl being in a pretty dress of various types and putting her in a body bag before taking her home with me and after injecting her with an anti-decomposition chemical, make her into my love doll to cherish and love forever.

With Anime and manga characters who've died, I fantasize about digging up their bodies from their graves and making them into love dolls to love too.

Also, I've got similar Grave robbing fantasies that involve dead lolis and shotas. In my fantasies, I can't bear to see a beautiful child, teen girl or woman rot away in the ground so I work to save their bodies from such a terrible fate and preserve them forever.

    >the penalty would be harsh
that probably depends on where you live. I just checked and in my country grave robbing/necrophilia would be prosecuted as "disturbance of the dead" and the MAXIMUM penalty is 3 months. A first time offender would most likely get off with probation and some mandatory therapy.

your other points are valid though.

    >>5513

That's why I'd prefer to fuck someone immediately after killing them, when their body is just lukewarm and their skin is still soft, before rigor mortis sets in (Iess than 4 hours after death). One of my most persistent fantasies is smothering my daughter to death in bed with a pillow and sleeping with her body, cuddling her, kissing her, caressing her, talking to her. A real draw is the fact that even after death she'd still feel so human, being alive just minutes earlier, waiting for a goodnight kiss from daddy with not a worry in her mind. Not that I'd actually do it, but damn I wish I could.

Are there any rules against linking to or uploading images of real people (such as models, porn stars, celebrities, etc) for a character description in the RP and Literature boards?

    Do not upload, post, or link to anything that does not comply with the laws of the United States of America;

    Do not post imagery of real life gore, scat, etc; artistic depictions of real life events are allowed, however;

    Overly simplistic “toons” are not welcome here;

    Do not request artwork on boards other than /req/; refer to the FAQ for more details;

Threads must be given sensible and descriptive topics; topics may be edited by mods if it’s necessary.

So, if the picture of a real person isn't gore, it would be fine?
    >>
    >>5592

As long as they're over 18, and you link, not post it, it should be. (And if you really have to, there's always the workaround of mentioning the site and ID where the image is located like "imgur and hgELRDJ jpg" without ever linking anything directly).
    >>
    >>5583

Uploading real images is not allowed (gore or not), but there's nothing against linking them. I'd recommend clearly marking it as such, though.

    >>5593

Age doesn't matter, unless it's pornographic.

I was thinking the other day:
    • Succubi who fed on people's life force through sex — they might come from hell, from a parallel world, or be artificially created bioweapons
    • In the modern world, there are (if you believe some) unprecedented millions of males who have no hope for their lives and are desperate for female affection — ready and willing to trade the former for the latter. Rich feeding ground?
    • Good succubi reluctantly feeding on the willing (especially the old, sick and others with the least prospects) to gain the power to fight evil succubi and other threats?
    • Morally grey succubi who consider feeding on desperate males to be a favor and have no reservations about enjoying it?

Are there any stories set in that kind of world? Throw in a male protagonist who's immune to feeding, or who has a good succubus in love with him protecting him, and it almost seems like it could be a mainstream manga.

Admittedly, one potential issue is that depending on the population of succubi and how often they can feed, the easy prey might be burned through pretty quickly.
    >>
That does sound like a pretty decent manga premise. Go for it!

Sorry; I don't draw (or write).

Who here fantasizes about sneaking into a morgue or funeral home and enjoying the dead bodies there?

I for example have fantasies /which I'd never do in real life as I've got morals/ where I slip into a morgue or funeral home and have "fun" with the dead bodies of women, teen girls and children of both genders. Before I have the obvious sex session with them, I'd feel them up, pose their bodies, strip them nude, etc and not in any specific order.

This thread made me think of an excellent short story about this very thing. I've re-read it many times over the years. It can be found in the paperback The Loved Dead and Other Revisions, by H.P. Lovecraft. The story is The Loved Dead, and was written by C.M. Eddy, Jr, with Lovecraft collaborating.

The thread in /g/ called "GIRLS SLASHED TO PIECES" is driving me insane!

A slash is a flesh cut, most of the time, can't cut anything to a pieces!

A slice could, but a chop is best to turn somethin' into pieces.

Cut - Generic, to make an opening into something with a sharp object

Slash - Tip cut, to inflict a cut with a linear motion with your wrist

Chop - Cut with a wide movement, often downwards, can dismember

Slice - A somewhat fluid cut, follows through and can dismember

Seems I'm having issues with Asstr at the moment and I'm looking for a decent place to post stories. The place has to be okay with stories containing snuff, rape, and Necrophilia.

Optional features: free, and willing to accept stories containing underage girls.

Do you guys have any suggestions?
    >>
Though I'm not very familiar with it, kristensboard.com allows snuff and underaged subjects. I'm sure the rest would be fine too.

And ASSTR seems to have had issues for quite a while, now.
    >>
ASSTR has been having server problems that is causing site outages and other issues. The site admins are working on the problem and are considering moving to a cloud based system. I'll post the latest announcement from ASSTR in /dis/

I'd love to know if there is a place to post stories containing torture and snuff with underage characters, that also has large amounts of sexual content that might not really be entirely guro. I suppose the answer is to post here as there is already a lot of that in /lit/

If people/site admin don't like too much rape and other forms of sexual depravity that are not guro then the worst that can happen is that the story won't get a favourable response, or might get removed by the site admin. As far as I'm aware there are no rules on GUROchan regarding story content.

    >>
stories.xnxx.com doesn't appear to have any content restrictions at all. I also can't find a way to change the background color.

bdsmlibrary.com is a much better organized site and fits most of your criteria(free, accepts rape/snuff/necrophilia, has a "all characters are 18 or over" rule that it doesn't seem to enforce), but the admins have been MIA since April and nobody knows if it'll ever be updated. Still, it's someplace to keep in mind.

How do you distinguish the two, and which do you prefer?

I tend to call any gore art that's pornographic (significant focus on genitals/sex or sexual pleasure being derived) "guro art", and if it's not pornographic I call it "gore art".

As with all my fetishes, I prefer the non-pornographic counterpart, due to asexuality. Guro feels far too pretentious for me to enjoy.
    >>
Yes you are totally right, guro is erotic gore, but it is not that easy to tell which is which because any gore cat be erotic depending on context.
It is not necessary to focus on genitals and lots of guro is not related to genitals at all. probably it could be even said that guro is not as much about gore as it is about absurdity.

However word fetish is also by definition sexually related, so if you are "asexual" you cannot have any fetishes. or you are not asexual after all.
    >>
    Guro is grotesque*
    >>
I think it's more about what it is better known for, rather what it really means. Gore MEANS graphic and bloody violence, but the term is often used for "live-action" or real life scenes depicting any sort of death or serious injury. Guro MEANS "grotesque" and originally was referred as "Ero-guro" or "erotically grotesque". In the beginning guro only was about pretty weird and disgusting fetishes (mostly in manga or anime). Nowadays is more known for deaths and blood even without sex or eroticism involved. But guro still is better known as the anime counterpart of gore.

What do I enjoy the most? Gore is sometimes pretty exciting to me as long it's not real life shit (like those rekt, accidents or executions videos). When it comes to guro on the other hand, I like pretty much everything about it (except for furry and yaoi stuff).

For me it started with mortal kombat i guess, Mileena <3

i'm pretty old. back in the 80's, when i was a kid, there were no gory video games yet, and i was too small to watch bloody and sexy exploitation movies of the 70's. but many movies, cartoons and comics had this recurring trope of a pretty girl (usually the hero's crush) tied to an altar or a post by villians, about to be murdered/sacrificed, by stabbing in her tits or have her heart ripped out, or some other cruel way... of course the hero would always come just in time to save her. spoilsport.

Abuse mostly, plus my personality disorder. I couldn't relate to others "healthily" and so I kinda ended up relating abuse to sexual release, so now the idea of being physically tortured gets me hot. Go figure. For the record, I have borderline personality disorder, and it's fairly out there at times.

not really guro but rather ryona - the guro is more like the cherry ontop

    ichi the killer the animation
the scene where he beats the girl almost to death.

I loved how she is potrayed as a strong fighter, and then gets totally destroyed by Ichi. She then begs him to kill her, but sadly he runs away.

really got my boner throbbing, and I hated yet loved every second of it.

From teleportation to pyrotechnics, science has much to offer and endleas potential.

What do you think the future will be like? What cybernetic enhancements would/will you want? How will you use them? Might you join kabals? Err on the side of spying or hiding? Speed or toughness?

Unfortunately we know almost everything in the universe with only small exceptions because we have basic idea on how everything works according to the quantum physic. you can expect some new discoveries but pretty much anything significant woud break entire physic understanding and make you omnipotent.

Consider teleportation if you manage to teleport object from 1 floor to the 6th floor you can generate energy by dropping it down so you will make perpetual motion engine.

remote controlled bodies are possible because you can pretty easily connect to peripheral nervous system all our bodies are controlled by nerve fibers just like plain copper wires all you need to do is connect to them and this is not even too hard because those neurons grow into any holes you present then in their path.
All you need is to cut some nerve, place the edge in front of interface chip and it will grow into it properly and connect.

Unfortunately this technology does not work on central nervous system in both directions. You an get data from CNS but you cant send it back

current brain computer interfaces are plain nonsense, they are as if you take bunch of wires and jam then into your computer motherboard. then try to analyze what data you are getting or try to inject something.

This is not how things are done properly, if you want to connect to the brain you have to use proper interfaces that already exist in the brain. like for example optic nerve, but of course you will have to remove already existing device to replace it with something new.
this is why this technology is not to desirable unless you already lost something of your own like if you lost your hand it can be replaced with robotic device which can be controlled over any distance.

    Um. Not quite.

    You are overly optimistic.
unfortunately we really know almost everything and we can tell with almost 100% accuracy what is possible and what is not. (At some degree we can even approximately tell how it is possible)
Sure there is still some fundamental stuff we don't know it but unfortunately we cannot even theoretically access it so it is irrelevant.

    p.s.
I am not talking about knowledge on how to build quantum computer or fusion reactor.
I am talking about fundamental knowledge which explains how all existence operates.
This is like knowing how computer CPU works, not how all software using that cpu works.

    It isn't optimism.

Mybonly point wasn't that we'll have good things but rather that we definitely don't understand the majority of the universe aimply for our understanding of quantum physics.

That being said I get that we cannot rely on what we don't know anyway.

Understanding does not work that way you can not only understand part of the universe. You have to understand everything and only difference is acuracy of your understanding.

If we think about earlier times all universe was described in Newtonian laws were we had several fundamental particles and forces as building blocks of the universe.
That model was wrong because later we found out that unexpectedly universe has a wave nature, as described in quantum physic and those building blocks do not exist.

We may still not know some small details, but general model is more or less complete and we can only slightly improve its accuracy, but we cannot expect significant changes without declaring everything wrong again. And that would be extremely optimistic idea because pretty much any significant change would result in omnipotence.
