Is there a team which focuses on translating GURO doujin/manga? If there isn't, it would be cool if we found one here on GC

    >Doujin implies self-published Japanese manga.
I knew this. That's why I was wondering.
So, if Chinese translators do their work, the results are always doujins with text in their language. Did I get you correct?

    >believe it or not
I've no other info, so I take your word.
At least, artwork made in China is to be expected in Chinese language.

    >OP is talking about translated manga
... and proposing the foundation of a translation group on this chan. Makes sense to me, because it would deliver in the here most spoken tongue.
    >>

    >Did I get you correct?
    Yes, you did.
    >and proposing the foundation of a translation group on this chan. Makes sense to me
Doujin manga can take a long time to translate. Not to mention the proposed translators would have to be really invested and passionate about guro (and also, y'know, speak Japanese). Personally, I think if there could exist a guro translation group not after monetary rewards, unique to GUROchan, they should spend time translating one-two page guro comics that often get posted onto Twitter/art sites amongst Japanese guro cliques, that frequently get lost in a sea of retweets, never to be seen again after the artist deletes their account for the umpteenth time.

Well it is not really that hard you don't need any significant japanese knowledge although knowing japanese alphabet is useful for translating onomatopoeia.
I translated several few mangas myself long time ago when technology was much worse and one of the biggest problems is to turn machine translated text into something what makes sense.
Now things are pretty easy and probably so easy that it it may be discouraging from doing good quality translation alone.

In my opinion translation on GC should work like this, someone posts one or few pages and translates it them someone else posts another page and translates it until whole manga gets finished. this would be much easier than translating everything for one person.

No knowledge is required, you just right click on the image on your chrome use "goggle lens" and post translated text with appropriate adjustments.

Editing manga will be much more work
    >>
    >>1613
There's one guy in the current Jissou thread that does just that.
    >>
Capture2Text is an excellent program for hooking text in mangas that also works in games. An alternative is an OCR(Optical Character Recognition) site.I found that ocr.space does the best job for japanese mangas.
After you obtain the text you just paste it into a translator.I don't recomment google, the site I've successfuly used to get the best translationis deepl.com! I hope this helps!

    HF!^^

I don't see a place to test formatting, or any sort of guide, so I'm doing it here.

    Spoiler masking is working.
Formattig needs a pair of tags.
    BTW, what about nesting?
    >Quoting can be done.
    >>1560 "On board"-linking is possible.
    >>>Cross-linking probably not.
Links are created with just plain URLs.

Can the detour via "jump.kolyma.org" be avoided for links inside gurochan?
And can an already on the board existing image be adressed in a way that it is shown itself instead of the link?
    Help would greatly appreciated.
    >>
The detour isn't even working for links imported from the old guro.wtf.Anyways it doesn't bother me but if u want a way around it just copy/paste the link in your browser!^^
    >>
I created a markup guide page few days ago: https://guro.cx/markup.html

    >Cross-linking probably not
    Correct. crosslinking doesn't work.

    >If none or only some of the above lines work, could someone please give the necessary advices?
Creating text with links aren't possible either (;´Д`)

    >Can the detour via "jump.kolyma.org" be avoided for links inside gurochan?
It can't detect the link is inside GUROchan.

The jump.kolyma.org detour is the only benefit our server host is making except for the site ads (which are easily blockable with an adblocker), so while it has been conversational, I won't remove it out of my respect for him unless he wants otherwise. Kuz is my dearest friend and I believe he deserves GC using his personal detour for generously covering server fees of GUROchan.

I actually found many interesting things in the jump zone and I think one of the reasons why the previous iteration of GUROchan disappeared was the lack of funding.I don't get why people are bothered by adds and the jump zone because I can tell there is no virus, trojan or other such stuff! Everything attached to GUROchan is clean and most of the time helpful! You and KUZ are doing a great job! It's funny how people complain about adds and stuff when the previous iteration was swarmed but spammers, trolls, religious nuts and runned by an actual madman! So thank again and I must say to all don't be shy to use the jump-zone or click on the adds, they are the real deal and clean!
    >>

Thank you for your detailed answers.
Short after my post I found the markup guide myself, lol. It is a good start ... (hint, hint, hint) (>ω^)
At least I hope there are some more useful tags available. May be a brief explanation of the predefined kaomoji would improve that page too.

I do understand the purpose of the jump zone and it's ok with me. My idea wasn't in the first place to skip the ads, but to give the readers the same smooth experience with referenced/quoted images inside of gurochan (previewed and clickable) as with the posting links (e. g. >>1563). Too sad that there is no solution.

I have been unaware of this literary classic.

Sub bitch gives up everything and dies at her master's request, after having had been in his service for some length of time.

I have not yet read this book, but intend to. Are there other works of various authorship detailing similar narratives?

All of my partners read to jerk off and I want to do the same.
    >>
also kinda hot that a woman wrote it
    >>
    >and dies at her master's request
    huh? when did that happen?

I did not read a book but saw that movie sometime in my childhood but it was not that arousing even then.

The most memorable thing was how all that submission works (not only in BDSM but for women on general). as "I am your master and you obey all what I say but you decide if you want to be by slave or not." what means that the real master in the relationship is the slave because if master will screw up somewhere he won't be a master anymore :)
So during all that movie master was serving slave rather than slave serving master and she was pretty pleased.

Considering similar stories probably much better stuff is available on ASSTR as there was nothing special happening in that movie.
    >>
    >huh? when did that happen?

Never. Op is illiterate. In the very end she asks permission to die.
    >>
    >>1519
This movie isn't very close to the book. It was more or less part of this softporn wave during the late 70s and early 80s, e.g. "Lemon Popsicle", which got more parts than "Rambo". And todays movies aren't much better, as "Fifty Shades Of Grey" proofs.

The more and more I read about Chinese history, the more I'm surprised it doesnt get much of a mention or guro art dedicated to it
    >Every famine has mass cannibalism by either eating the dead or killing their own family to eat
    >During such famines, people start selling their children or even selling themselves as meat to provide a last sum of money for food
    >Filial piety taken to cannibalistic conclusions: Children cutting off bits of their thigh flesh, arms, eyes, even cranial fluid/bits of their brain to make medicines by which to heal their parents/step-parents
    >Absolute tons of balls-to-the-wall suicides and normal suicides for either good reasons or purely for show
    >Never mind the cannibalistic/sadistic tortures of the Royal families
Hell, the fate of the Consort Qi is guro as fuck
    >"She [Empress Dowager Lü] then had Concubine Qi's limbs chopped off, blinded her by gouging out her eyes, cut off her tongue, cut off her nose, cut off her ears, forced her to drink a potion that made her mute, made her dumb with toxins, and locked her in the pigsty, and called her a "Human Swine" (人彘). Several days after, Emperor Xiaohui saw the "Human Swine", and after realising who the "Human Swine" was, the emperor was so sick of his mother's cruelty that he virtually relinquished his authority and indulged in carnal pleasures."

Anyone got any other good bits of historical guro from the region? I only recently learned of the Japanese ritual of Hitobashira (human pillar), in which they bury someone alive to ensure a new building stays together against the elements

Check out Emperor Wenxuan of Northern Qi he's the most guro emperor in Chinese history.
If you want to know more check out an author named Hitomi Yiu on Amazon she has a book about historical deaths of Chinese women named "The Chinese women warrior in History, Literature, Folklore and on Stage" . She also writes various fictional guro stories.

Foot-binding was pretty hot. Morally depraved but hot. The whole point was to make a woman permanently dainty and helpless and dependent on her husband. A woman with bound feet could never run away, could never fight back, could never live on her own, struggled to even keep her balance. She spent her whole life in her husband's house, working with her hands to make textiles and clothes to sell, getting fucked whenever he wanted her. Walking was painful and difficult so she spent most of her time off her feet. It was a condition of permanent helplessness, one she had no agency in choosing, forced on her when she was only a child, which she endured in meek silence for the rest of her life, locked away in her husband's house. Men at the time described the practice in erotic terms, admiring the helpless way women with bound feet walked, swaying their hips, unsteady on their feet. Men gossiped that this gait made a woman's vaginal muscles tighter. It was just as kinky at the time as it sounds to us today, and it was inflicted on up to 50% of Chinese women at the height of the practice.

Gonna make an animation of a girl getting violently electrocuted in an electric chair. What kind of girl should I fry?

I started my Pixiv account the last year and I didn't care about tags since I was just posting things for fun (and the fact that you can only use 100 tags didn't help), so I used just a few words. Then I saw that people are actually interested in my account and I'd like to use better tags from now on. Since my pc is broken and I can't play anything, these evenings I'm browsing TONS of Pixiv images and saving the most used tags for each kind of pics (hanging, strangulation, drowning, etc) and I found out that I never used most of them. What are the tags you usually use for your works?
1 posts omitted. Click Reply to view.
    >>
I use 拷問 (torture), リョナ (ryona) for almost everything, then more specific tags like hanging, franchise name, character name all in japanese.
    >>
death, death by shooting, corpse, necrophilia, sexy punishment, destruction of genitals, strangling, chocking, ryona

Search for each of these terms in the pixiv search bar to get the japanese translation used by pixiv.

It it good to use both the english and japanese tags in your description!

I rarely use the guro tag but allways slap the R-18G tag.
    >>
    >>1438
Yes, the R18G tag is what matters the most for a lot of people, the rest just depends on what you draw
    >>
For the R18G,what should I use? The Pixiv category or the R18-G tag? Or are they the same thing? And does the search check tge words in the title/description too?
    >>
The reason tags are important is because pixiv will promote your pictures according to those tags. Otherwise it is questionable if that many people are using search function.

so when tagging your pictures use tags that other pictures with similar content use.
or you can invent your own tags if you want your other pictures to be promoted along with the current picture.

The main tags that I use on my pictures are #loli and #shota :)
using R18-G tag seem to be useless because you already set that category by default. but if you will set that tag I think it will be used with the same logic as other tags so if you do not reach 10 tag limit you can add it and anything else.

Search obviously does not look at description title.

She has an account on Pixiv called EeveeArt, and she’s taking subscribers. I think we should support her since she’s posted so much content here over the years and never asked for anything, and I figured people here might not know about it since she has only two followers right now. (She also has a recent art thread here, if you need more than the name to jog your memory.)

    Hello

Today and tommorow we will be transferring Gurochan to our new servers. Still under KolymaNET's jursidiction. The transfer will be relatively seamless and have little effect on you, except for that after it is finished, we will have drastically increased uptime.

We apologize deeply for the unacceptable amount of downtime we have been having lately and ask that you please consider buying a Captcha Pass (https://vipcode.kolyma.org/) to support our hosting costs. This will be the last downtime for the forseeable future as we move towards more stability and growth.

    Thank you

You impressed Universal Pictures so much with your latest Oscar-awarded drama that the studio gives you a complete carte blanche for your next movie, as long as it's under 50 million USD in production. Make it R rated if you want, controversial, hard to market, they don't mind.

Unknown to them, you've always secretly been a guro freak. Maybe some occasional people on imageboards saw some small hints of that in your earlier works here and there, but that's it.

Describe your movie, who you cast in it and what happens to their characters?

    I'd make a pants-pissingly horrorific flick!

Some students and staff members get locked in with a monster in a girls' school overnight. Don't ask me how that happens. Something kills whoever sits on the toilet. It can leave the pipes and it's homed in on piss scent so the girls aren't safe taking a leak anywhere else either.

This movie would feature girls getting sucked into the toilet, girls getting dragged off while they try to run away with their pants around their ankles, girls trying to drain their tanks anywhere besides a toilet, girls getting the piss scared outta them, and girls squirming and bouncing cuz their guts are swimming. Whether the girl's a shrieky prep or a cocky tomboy or an adorkable librarian or any other horror stereotype she's gotta do business sometime and the audience gets to see the gold.

It takes most of the movie before the characters and viewers see or understand the killer. Don't ask me what it is. A girl with goddess-tier bladder-control lures the bathroom beast out in the open by leaving a trail of little gold puddles between the locker room and the middle of the gym. The final battle is between some sorta Ridley Carpenter Cronenberg motherfucker and a sharp-thinking gymnastical girl armed with improvised weapons and an adult diaper.

In the flashforward ending the school returns to normalcy after the evil was defeated as far as we know but everybody's a little skittish about sitting on the can. The final scene is a happy pep rally and the camera angle shows that every ass in the cheerleading squad is pampered.

You can't outright make a live-action fantasy snuff porn film with minors, for obvious legal reasons, but you can get pretty damn close. You just have to accept the fact that there won't be nudity.

We already have quite a few films where children are killed—Children of the Corn. You even have mainstream examples of minors in skimpy outfits (Dance Moms and Netflix's Cuties, although the second one is controversial as fuck).
It's a dystopian world where executions for losing sporting competitions are common. A hundred girls, as young as ten and no older than sixteen, compete in a dance competition. The girls are dressed in leotards, sports bras, miniskirts, short shorts, two-piece swimsuits, and crop tops.

They break off into teams and engage in dance-offs. The competitions include provocative dance routines. After each round, a panel of judges scores each team, and the losers are gruesomely murdered. Girls are decapitated, sawed in half, blown up, impaled, and machinegunned. The camera focuses on their goods as they dance and as they die.

The film would be on the borderline of legal, depending on what country you're in, and it would be the most controversial film to date.

'Apaches' - A short film warning against the hazards of playing on farms. I remember they made us watch this at school when I was about 10. Possibly explains quite a lot lol.

Like the title suggests I wonder if an AI can write a guro or snuff fic (I've heard of them making a Batman script, a John Wick script, a Christmas story, and even a comedy routine)

I wonder if one can make a guro or snuff fic
    >>
Ai can't write anything sensible. The way how it writes is like if a human was trying to write novel in chinese language. It will Tate random sentences from random christmas related texts and throw them into one story.
Ai does not understand what it is doing. It only drops pieces of text that have some semantic relationship to surrounding text.
The only useful thing Ai could here is to enhance human written text by adding extra descriptions or replacing words with synonyms. sometimes it can give generic suggestions, like you mention that cannon was shot and it will add extra sentence describing how the cloud of fire ofsmoke erupted from the batter making steel projectile fly and hit the target which was obliterated and shattered into pieces. this will be also not really some original text but rather a quote from another text where cannon fire was mentioned.

This woud be pretty useful for role playing because many people are asking for longer more detailed replies.
But also you need to check what AI is suggesting because it can drop something absolutely ridiculous just because that text was relevant somewhere else.
    >>
Manmade AI can't replace human creativity.
    >>
in 3 years the AI written stories will be indestinguisable from regular ones
